Technical Achievement Award for 3D Printing Innovation


The Technical Achievement Award for 3D Printing Innovation will be presented for the first time to a government or industry representative, or group, in recognition of their profound contributions & diligent work in the field of additive manufacturing, as well as implementation in supporting the Defense Industrial Base. The award was established in 2021 by Defense Strategies Institute, to showcase current/future innovations occurring in the 3D printing space, which will benefit other members of industry, as well as government partners.

This award encourages continued efforts by industry & government toward developing 3D printing solutions that will benefit military operations. The award is presented to demonstrate how important AM technologies are in solving supply chain issues, & how each person, or group, is helping to lead the way in transforming how they are used.

Award Criteria:

  • Please describe in detail the individual, or group’s, current & prolonged technical innovations in the field 3D Printing.
  • What are the positive, and lasting impacts of this individual, or group’s, achievements?
  • How has this individual, or group, helped to advance additive manufacturing R&D in support of the Defense Industrial Base?
  • What are other commendable actions the individual, or group, has accomplished regarding additive manufacturing processes that help support military operations?
  • All actions must be verifiable.

The 3D Printing Awards will be presented on the first day of the Mil AM Summit: January 26th, 2:00-2:15pm
